Tip: use the arrow keys ←↑↓→, or swipe on the rug.

How it works

Three steps to start running

  1. 1

    Prop up your phone

Stand it somewhere steady, with the front camera facing the room.

  2. 2

    Step back

Back up until the camera can see all of you. Clear some space first.

  3. 3

    Run, jump and duck!

Move left or right to change lanes, jump to jump and crouch to duck. The mouse copies every move.

Ways to play

You are the controller

Four ways to run. Pick the one that fits your room.

  • Body Motion

Prop the phone up, step back and play with your whole body. Move left or right to switch lanes, jump to jump, crouch to duck.

    The game calls out:

    “Left”“Middle”“Right”“Jump”“Duck”

  • Default

    Hand Gestures

The phone stays about an arm’s length away. Your palm picks the lane. Flick up to jump, flick down to duck.

  • Best for the living room

    TV + phone

The game runs on the TV. The phone stands on a stool facing you and becomes the camera. Scan the QR code on the TV to pair.

  • Touch

Classic swipes on the phone. On the TV, the remote works too.

Big on the TV

Put the run on the big screen and the living room becomes the track.

  1. 1 Open KinetiRun on the TV.
  2. 2 Scan the QR code on the TV with your phone to pair.
  3. 3 Stand the phone on a stool, facing you. Now run!

The phone sends only your moves to the TV, over your home Wi-Fi.

The world

A chase through a cosy kitchen

  • The mouse

A cheeky grey mouse with pink ears, quick feet and a big love of cheese.

  • The cat

A big, clumsy orange tabby who just won’t stop chasing.

  • The kitchen

A red rug runner for three lanes, terracotta and cream floor tiles, blue-and-white tiles and marigold garlands.

In the game: three lanes, lots of cheese, one very determined cat.

For parents

Screen time you can feel good about

KinetiRun turns screen time into moving time. Here is what grown-ups usually want to know.

  • Gets kids moving indoors

Running, jumping and ducking in the living room, rain or shine. The game is played with the body, not just the thumbs.

  • Camera picture analysed on the device

The phone analyses the camera picture itself to find your child’s body or hand. In TV play, the phone sends only the moves to the TV.

  • One-time “Unlimited”, no subscription

Unlimited is a single purchase made on the phone, behind a parental check. It can be restored after a reinstall.

  • Try it free first

Camera play comes with 3 free runs a day, so your child can try it before you decide anything.

  • Touch and TV-remote play are free

Swipe play on the phone and remote play on the TV are free and unlimited.

  • Play together on the TV

Put the run on the big screen so the whole family can watch, cheer and take turns.

Safety tip: Clear some space and play on a non-slip floor.

More for parents

Play a teaser

20 seconds. Three lanes. Go!

Dodge the pots and jars, grab the cheese. Use the arrow keys, swipe, or tap a lane.

Ready to run?

Grab cheese (+10). Bumping into pots and jars costs points (−15), but the run keeps going.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Which devices does it work on?

Phones: iPhone (App Store) and Android phones (Google Play).

TVs: Apple TV, Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV.

Do I need a TV?

No. A phone is all you need: play with your whole body, with hand gestures or with touch.

A TV makes it big: the game runs on the TV and the phone, standing on a stool, becomes the camera.

How far from the phone should my child stand?

For Body Motion, prop the phone up and step back until the camera can see your child’s whole body, head to feet.

For Hand Gestures, about an arm’s length away is enough.

Clear some space and play on a non-slip floor.

Is the camera recording?

The camera picture is analysed on the device to find your child’s body or hand. That’s how the game reads the moves.

In TV play, the phone sends only the moves to the TV over your home Wi-Fi. Our privacy policy has the details.

Is it a subscription?

No. KinetiRun is free to download. “Unlimited” is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

It’s bought on the phone, behind a parental check.

What’s free?

Touch play and TV-remote play are free and unlimited.

Camera play (Body Motion, Hand Gestures, workouts and TV + phone) gives you 3 free runs a day, so you can try it first.

How do I restore my purchase?

Unlimited can be restored after you reinstall the game.

On the phone, open KinetiRun and tap Go Unlimited, then Restore Purchase. Use the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

Does it work on Fire TV?

Yes. Fire TV works, and so do Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV.
